Sue Quinn from MK Community Enterprise, will be a guest on The Business Lunch with Jim Cleland on Tuesday between 12:00 and 2:00. Sue is a leading light in the Social Enterprise sector and has helped to establish many local companies. She is currently a Director at MK Community Enterprise.
At Living Archive she set up the accredited training centre that allowed them to access funding from sources that would support their work in the arts. In 2006 Sue decided to go freelance, project managing the Courtyards project at MK Hospital and developing the social enterprise project for Wolverton Unlimited.
Sue’s interest in social enterprise grew and recognised that it was not being championed in Milton Keynes and so MK Community Enterprise was born. MKCE aims to led by example and receives no grant funding. It makes its money from charging for services and running courses to help those who want to start their own businesses by offering training and support. MKCE has been training business mentors to help and support these start ups and developing businesses. The funds from these courses supports the social enterprise network.
